Customs authorities in Belladere, a commune in Haiti that is located in the district of Las Caobas, near the border with the Dominican Republic, seized about 500 boxes of eggs, each with an average of 30 cartons, for a total of 15 thousand units. These eggs, coming from the Dominican Republic, would have been introduced this Friday, October 13, through the Carrizal border crossing.
This operation would have been carried out within the framework of the protection mission that the Customs Brigade service has according to article 259 of the Customs Code of 1987, articles 227, 228 and 229, referring to the smuggling of goods and which grants them the power to do it.
